I say art because this stuff isnt even really that good compared to most of your guys stuff but i decided to post it anyway for some constructive criticism. keep in mind that they look better in person as the camera i was using was really shit.

this is probably my second favorite, with the first posted picture being the favorite one i drew.

keep in mind that i knwo that this one is kinda shit, i drew this one the day before i really got how to do more complex poses and as such it made this one look a bit awkward.

I think they would be better off without those rough lines. However I do think the lines on the torso armour make an ok texture. The lines weren't drawn in pen were they?

Though, Bastion, Krys is right in a way : you should try to learn to draw without that rough lines. That's useful at last in science.

Lines are better when they're whole. Maybe you can do it for hair, or for fur, etc. But I don't see it working with these, armour, arms and all. Perhaps you can make it work in time, but now it gives an unrealistic texture. Rough lines are usually seen in sketching shapes and forms with pencils.

It's not wrong to use them as a "crutch". A lot of artists use them for drawing as well. But use them in pencil, so that after you achieve the form you may erase the guide lines.

For these, you should have learned to give up rough lines.
Try to do the same here, even if it takes more time at first.

nah i tried drawing without rough lines, it just felt like there wasnt any soul in it anymore, some time ill try and improve my skills without rough lines, but as for right now im sticking to it

I like how the armor and the overall image looks c: Quite structured indeed. The only thing I actually recommed is to maybe sketch on an entirely blank sheet of paper, to doodle and draw about and to just experiment in general. With a blank page, theres more room than in margins, yeah?

oh no i do mostly draw on blank sheets of paper now, i just rip them into smaller pieces because i fit them into my mirror at home.

I've a suggestion, after seeing an art piece with rough ink lines. Try using simple and fine, strokes, no more than 2 strokes at one place. And also try making the strokes as straight as it can be, only curving when absolutely necessary and connecting straight lines to make a curve wherever possible.

Can anyone offer any good advice? I want to get better, I'm just not sure how.

Learning to draw from real life well help alot. But if you wanna skip that, learn from other artist.
