Please help me improve (8)

I have never really been into drawing that much and i am thinking of starting so i would love to get some advice on how to improve! The drawing i posted is the most recent one i have drawn.

The shape of your drawing is good. Since you've already applied some shading it would look better if you complete the shading. Shade beneath his cheek bones to show the contour of his face.

For hair (his fringe) don't be afraid to stretch the lines up, but remember at the end they must all bend and curve towards where his hair parts from.

You've got any advice oh how to apply shading? I'm not that good at it hehe. Oh and thanks!

Overshaded, unless he's meant to look tanned or dark skinned. He has a very angular face. The shading beneath his cheekbone lines should be darker, and the lines that point towards his nose bridge is where you also need to shade.

Lighter shading would be good. Also are you smudging your work? It's darker where it shouldn't be--the middle of his cheeks.

The trick to smudging is (i use a cotton bud) is to brush lightly. If you press it too hard a dark patch will form. I only do that if i'm brushing over a place that isn't as dark as it should be.
