stupid detail things.

I actually really like drawing lace, but it's dumb to put shading detail into it because you're not going to see it well in the full picture.

How about gently curling the fresh petals tips?? the withers seems sharply culred?? your petals seemed like folded? idk.. i hope youre not getting mad at me or something..

This is a surreal piece for an animated logo, not a realistic illustration (that much I don't have trouble with). I just needed to understand how the specific layering inside the rose works because my petals need to be separated for this project.

Real roses are much more angled, nowhere near as tall, and generally larger in proportion to the other items that'll be in the scene.

I'll probably have others through the game, but I won't bother putting this much detail into them. This one is part of the logo tho and will be one of the first things people see, so I want it to be naisu.

(Yeah, her anatomy is fucked lmao. It's not a serious piece.)

I'm gonna try starting from the skin when I redo this / make something similar later. I jumped to the back details w/o doing my normal shading / texturing first.

I really like working at the pixel level, though. It obviously needs to be blown up (these aren't) to look better on modern monitors, though.

(It's amazing how decent I managed to make these look when I honestly had no idea what the fuck I was doing. I didn't know how to use the lasso tool so I just used the smallest brush possible everywhere to avoid going over the lines. If you asked me what a fundamental of drawing was I would've just blinked at you. I spent like 30 hours on that flower lmfao)
