You are an artist. (4)

This is something that's been happening lately, and honestly it pisses me off. So I decided that enough was enough, and that at least here I have to say something about it.

You are an artist.

I've seen so many potentially great artists be put down by words such as "You're just a doodler" or "You're not good enough for that." But who the hell are they to tell you who you are? If you say you're a ducking artist and then damn it you're an artist.

Art wasn't meant to be defined. So why should an artist be?

If you like to doodle and call yourself a doodler, okay then. Great, you're a doodler. If you call yourself an artist then you're an artist. You define who you are. Don't go letting someone else tell you what you are--don't do that to yourself.

Artist is a title. It's who you are so you better carry it proudly. Don't give a rat's butt about what they say. Don't lose hope in yourself or your art. Instead, prove to the world and to those goddamn haters that you are amazing. fantastic.

Make them Eat. their. words.

Because you, my dear, are an artist.

>>1 OP Everything drawn or made can be considered art, it's up to you if you want to share it with other people regardless how good you are at drawing or making things, and the only difference between a *Professional artist and a Amateur artist* is that the professional artist just means you are getting paid regularly for pieces of art that it.

They're both artists Kaisuke. I'm not talking about the difference between a professional artist or an amateur artist.

I'm talking about whether or not someone else can tell you whether or not you're an artist. Whether an artist is professional or an amateur doesn't matter to me, what matters is that they're free to call themselves an artist without some else telling them they're not.

If I misunderstood your words, then I apologize.
