Hey all! First post on the site, normally just lurk but I was wondering if I could get some advice? I'm trying to improve my artwork since most of it is done digitally with my Wacom tablet. I know some artists swear by PaintTool SAI and others who say that Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop are "professional". Any thoughts/ opinions? :3

Personally, i use Mischief, which is really great but PTS is certainly better. xD
I don't really have big advices to give you tbh, to imrpove you have to draw something, like, everyday, i know it can be hard sometimes but don't give up !
Just a lil adivce about the lineart : don't hesitate, no matter how many times you have to CTRL Z. c;

Paint Tool Sai and PhotoShop are known to be the "big deal" digital art programs (and for good reason, because they have lots of cool components), but you can find similar programs. I, for one, love GIMP, because it can do many of the things photoshop can, and honestly, I found it less confusing xD. However, it's not pressure sensitive, you have have a tablet.

I just got FireAlpaca 2 days ago, and it's great for making smooth lineart (you can set it to correct the smoothness of your lines), and it's pressure sensitive, so it works well for painting hair and fur.
But like >>2 said, when an artist works hard and practices, they can make good art on any program. (Though nice technology never hurts :P )

>>4 I forgot to add, GIMP and FireAlpaca are both free~
