Tip for snapshots:
Try using any bright light you can and shine it equally over so the picture shows everything distinctly. (It really helps, I don't have a scanner either, so yah. ^^)

hahaha XD same here though, since i don't have any scanner at home i just like, take a snapshot of my drawings.
here's a tip, always adjust the contrast first of the pic before adjusting the brightness , that's just how i do this things :)
