If you like to work with water colors, there's something called a water color pencil you might be interested in looking into. It's pretty cool. You sketch out your idea, then run over the sketch with a brush that was simply dipped in water. They can be decently hard to find and I don't think they come in different colors(but I could be wrong about that statement), but they may be worth looking into.
