A thread for anyone else who uses GIMP and is need of help trying to use it.

Does anyone know if there's a way to create a color pallette from a picture loaded into GIMP? I'm trying to create the Shadow Temple medallion from Ocarina of Time and I'm using GIMP to enlarge it to show all the pixels, but first I need a color pallette for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
