Wherever I post my drawings, there is never much of a response. Sometimes people ignore it altogether, or tell me it's very unrealistic.
I've been drawing frequently and I keep trying to improve, but no one seems to really like it.
So, give me your harshest, honest opinion of my stuff. I'm tired of being ignored. Tell me what I should fix, please.
Thanks in advance

I've got a question... what on earth did you draw that first one on??

8 Name: Yukio !DboM3.beAE : 2013-07-21 13:26 ID:l0XzoNkh [Del]

I don't really know. I didn't have paper with me, but I had an idea, so I found whatever. I think it's some library slip. Idk

Work on your anatomy and perspective. The heads on your drawings are too big, especially with >>5. >>3's neck would be broken if she could bend her neck that way. >>2 is a good start on exaggerated characters, though I strongly suggest you work on your mouths. I think you're very good at drawing dresses, but it's still advisable to learn how to draw proper cloth materials. It would also be good to work on your shading and how you draw hair. I think you have great potential! Sorry for being so harsh u v u

#5 is my favorite
there all pretty good
just a few simple fixes on some and they would look fantastic
like larger legs on #4 etc and just body proportions
your on the right track though and I like all of them, cant wait to see more :D

Lol Kaito. You posted that three times.
>>9 Thanks for being harsh, lol. That's what I made this post for.
And thanks Luna for ignoring my actual drawings...
4 was supposed to be looking from the top, but I'm horrible with perspective :c I gotta figure out how to draw that somehow...

Thanks SaintSoul! Now I know what I'm supposed to practice!

I like the first one the most. Especially the hair is much better than you drew it on the other pictures, where I think it's rather flat and motionless. In #4 and #5, it almost looks like a helmet. But I really do love your lines in #1, especially regarding the hair - I think that'd suit you more. Please, try to improve that! It's really beautiful. The eyes in #1 are also great. The character remindes me a bit of Lain. I love this style!

You tried to get some dynamic into #3, but I think it still looks rather flat and heavy - as if you wouldn't want to risk "bending" the lines a bit more. That's much better in #4. Try everything! Experiment a lot with motion, and lines, and - as you've already shown in #4 - shading for more dynamic.
I like the shadows in #4 and #5, they're a really good start. I'm sure you will be improving fast here!

All in all, I want to encourage you to experiment. A lot. And then more. Just draw, draw, draw, new stuff, new styles, new shading, new lines, and if you don't like it - draw even more new stuff. Don't be afraid of breaking your pattern. And don't be afraid to keep what you like about it. But don't stop experimenting~! Your drawings are really nice. Just keep at it. You really are not bad at all. :)

>>14 I agree with much of this
>>9 I agree with much of this too.

Let's see. When drawing perspective... Well I may have to post on a tutorial thread. You should look up pictures on the internet and copy their poses. This will help. You should also look up "foreshortening"

Also, try to give weight and emphasis to your lines. Crosshatching is an easy way to add texture. You may wish to observe light on your own body to find out about how to shade properly. You may wish to observe your own body for proportions.

You are on the correct path. Remember that comic style is a simplified version or real life. You gain more by studying at the source (real life rather than from other comics.) See how you can create textures, shadows, highlights, etc.

As I said, as many have said, you are on the correct path and will improve if you practice with a keen desire to improve yourself.

Not really original but I think I'm making progress?
Hands are hard to draw.
Still working on it.

Wow, nice drawings! If you find hands hard to draw, I would recommend this guide or a similar one: http://www.pxleyes.com/tutorial/traditional-drawing/1465/How-To-Draw-A-Proportioned-Hand-Structure.html

19 Name: Yukio !DboM3.beAE : 2015-01-12 21:17 ID:Tx+LpoiG [Del]

Thanks, I'm looking at tutorials and such.
Those hands are a lot better than what I used to draw so I guess I'm making progress?

My harshest opinion? Is "It's fabulous" harsh enough?

21 Name: Yukio !DboM3.beAE : 2015-01-13 03:29 ID:Tx+LpoiG [Del]

Please, please, you're too kind!

As you can (maybe?) tell, I've been experimenting with different stuff and trying to see what I'm best at.

They're very good, so keep up the work!

Seems manga worthy to me. At the very least.

24 Name: CaptainLucifer : 2015-01-13 17:37 ID:sH4+/Euc [Del]

It actually looks very nice! :D

I know people that would die to be able to draw like you! Keep up the amazing work! It's impossible to stop improving if you're always giving it your all. Remember it's your art, keep working until you think it's perfect, not until others think it's perfect.
