Alright; being an artist, and coming across this problem for the umpteenth time; I figure a reference picture thread would be incredibly useful for whatever artist is doing fanart or needs anatomical help.

Point of this thread/Sales Pitch: Ever search hours on end for a good shot of a character or at an angle that is hard to find? Maybe the details aren't visible enough on some wonky game screenshot you took, and you're having trouble figuring out what everything is. Well look no further!

Pretty much how this thread should go is somebody who needs help finding a reference for a character they want to draw/sculpt/do whatever with requests a character, and anybody who can help or happens to have photos of this character can post them, hopefully the one who needed the reference would say thank you and let you know they have what they need, but who knows.

Why: Well, I am searching google; photobucket; even deviantart and am having a really hard time of finding Final Fantasy X's Bahamut for a sculpture I'd like to do. Every picture is blurry, bad quality, or very tiny. The shots you have of the Bahamut in game are the ones I need; him with his arms folded from the front and back.
And then I thought; well I have this problem every now and again when I draw fanart. Surely, I can't be the only one.
This thread is for any artist that needs references, be it for fanart, bone structure, animals, etc.

And FYI: a reference is NOT an artist's interpretation or strange style/take on a subject; it is NOT a simplified chibi version or tiny picture that you can barely see/doesn't show details.
A reference IS a large or fairly large picture that shows detail of the subject, be it a part or full body shot; they show different angles and the details you otherwise wouldn't see well in a screenshot/quick photo. If it's a character from a game or series, official artwork and screenshots are acceptable.

When you request please specify what you are looking for in the references.

Feel free to request tutorials as well. It's easier to find things when several people are looking as opposed to one.

So to start it;
What I need: Anybody have any good pictures of the Final Fantasy X Bahamut? Screenshots are welcome. I am looking for front and back shots, preferably with his arms folded. Larger pictures please. I need to see the scales and placement of them. As much detail as possible please.

>>1 I scourged the interwebs for one of these and couldn't find one, either. Sorry 'bout that.

My turn; HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DRAW AND ANIME GUITAR?! T_T I must know! Mine look like utter shit.

Also, this was proper use of the View All Threads button, to all of you who don't know.

Missed something- I know it isn't a character, but it is anatomy of a huge part of a series I'm trying to make.

guitar? just searc----

guitar parts.....guitar sections. Yeah, i feel you, i cant draw guitars either, instead, i use Adobe Illustrator, and use vectors to copy the outline and decorate the inside, but that doesn't matter. My suggestion would be to print out a picture of a guitar and trace it constantly until you understand the 'anatomy' of it. :/ my greatest of all empathy.

If you're looking for anime styled guitars, check out K-On images. That should give you a fairly good idea of their basic structure.

Though, any style of guitar is fine. You just need to see a sketched outline of it.

>>3 Thanks for looking! I think I'm just gonna have to go with what I have and guess the rest or go off the actual game.

And anime guitars look to be just a regular drawing of a guitar.
Acoustic
Electric

These should help too, Anatomy
Guitar
Bass
Remember to start with basic shapes.

Hope they help :)

>>4 Don't worry about it. I made this thread for anything you need help on. Doesn't need to be characters :3

I need a full female body reference (anime style please) but no character in general, but I suppose a character with a similar build to Lenalee from D.Gray-man is good. I get a horrible feeling I'm doing this all wrong.

>>9 If you need a body reference, you can always look at bases. I'm not too sure you want. Just a reference for body proportion, or a certain pose.

>>10 I've been looking at bases, but when I search for them the rather crappy ones and the traces come up and they're never really good traces.
