Advice on cardboard? (2)

In my studio art class I'm using cardboard for a piece of art, well its pretty much finished. Anywho, my teacher wants me to submit the piece into a contest. Now I picked to do it on cardboard because I was relatively bored and it was just laying around. This contest wants actual reasoning behind the art.

My first choice was just to say " I like the earth, so I recycle." But yeah.... that's just not going to cut it on my behalf.

I don't have a picture of it right now due to the magical piece of cardboard being in the classroom and me just thinking to ask on the art board when I got home.

Background on the piece; it's part of my concentration for the year. I choose a weird topic on the downfall of information and knowledge of modern day.

What I came up with on the bus was that it represents the human mind, being able to use it in many different ways and similar to the sponge theory. With a draw back when cardboard soaks up to much water its muddled and nothing more than a .... That's were my brain fries.

I will try to get a picture of it tomorrow so it would be easier to help me with thus. Though any input would be greatly obliged. I really need to figure out the reason behind my cardboard that will have the person rating my art in awe.

say that is is expected to have art on any other items; such as paper, walls, ect.. and that nobody has really created a great piece of art on cardboard. running with your other state of mind, it shows the downfall, but rises into intuitive and creative thinking.
i'm sure that can b.s. you about 90% of the way!
