I'm pretty sure this is kind of like an unwritten rule, but let's actually write it (as a suggestion- not a rule...).

If you have a single piece of art you'd like to share, you should probably just go post it over here, on the "let's share our art" thread: http://dollars-bbs.org/art/res/1311413430.html

If you have multiple pieces/plan to make more to show us, you should probably make your own thread, filled with only your art. Instead of spamming the board up with individual threads of single pieces of your work.

If you have only one piece of art, and aren't planning to post more here any time soon, you probably should not make your own thread. Unless, you're making a thread for that type of art.
Example: Posting a picture of a teddy bear you drew, and making it the official teddy bear thread. Now everybody will post their teddy bear pictures there!

I was just thinking the other day that this sort of thread was in dire need of attention, not sure how it slipped my mind. But yeah, everyone read this.

Just thought I'd add a reminder towards certain members, as well as bumping this.

Stop telling people their threads are wrong immediately and should be posted on the art sharing threads. Yes, it's true in some cases, but I've seen many cases where people don't even give them the chance to post more than they had. Few start a thread and immediately post 10 things on it at once - and if you think they should, you're missing the point.

If the thread turns out to be only a single image, it's eventually saged anyway as the thread dies. There's no reason to doubt every thread so quickly - it's rather rude.

I'm bringing up >>6 again.

It's always one of the first 10 posts of any personal art thread. "You better post more than one picture, people are going to flame you." I hope it is apparent how discouraging that is to someone who may have intended such a thing in the first place. If not discouraging, then just blatantly rude.

Once again, it isn't worth being a stickler and basically spamming every new thread with a pseudothreat, when the threads that fall under the category of unnecessary are eventually saged, or simply die out, anyway.

Bump, and I'd like to add something.

This may just be me, but I don't think there's a need to excessively bump things on the art board. If you're bumping saged threads off, sure, but if you're not, I don't think there's a valid reason to bump somebody else's thread. I mean, the art board is for looking at people's art, not scrolling down to find a clusterfuck of bumps. Bumping for 'encouragement' is not a valid excuse either. If I were an artist, I'd be happier with people discussing my art rather then yelling at me to post more. Just some thoughts I had.

jut now realizing this...um was i only suppose to put MY art in the "lets share our art" thread...i think i might have messed it up with wallpapers that aren't from me.is that why it disapeared off the art page?

This is a gag manga art contest. Create a manga from 4-8 panels long that is a comedy. This can be original characters or a fan comic from an anime/manga. The winners will be announced soon.
