I don't believe there's a thread for animation unless it's titled wrong and I missed it; if so, I'm sorry.

I however plan on becoming an animator; and i was wondering if anyone else was planning to go into animation/are animators/have any tips to share involving animation/etc.

We can also share animations, either favorite animations or your own; and please don't take credit for something you didn't animate. Everybody hates art thieves, and I'll personally reach through the computer and slap you.

And because I'm curious, what program do you use to animate?
I'm currently working with tracing paper and Paint Tool Sai, though I don't have anything recent to show you guys.

And AMVs count as far as I'm concerned because timing is key in any animation as with music videos. (And I mean ANIMATED Music Videos, not just anime.)

Okay, so this is a WIP of an animation I started today for a Warriors MEP on Youtube. This is only my second time using flash, and I know next to nothing about warriors, so we'll see how this goes. I hope actual warriors fans will enjoy~

You have to click on it to see the gif. Gifs don't work when you upload them as an image file, and they appear as a still frame.

You guys should watch 'The man who planted trees' It's pretty epic and it was done very traditionally.

I too was thinking about going into animation, however I don't have any animations made to show you at the moment because I need to get an animation software when I have the money to get a good program. But I do have characters I would like to use within my animations.

Have you tried paint programs and movie maker? And theres a free animation program called pencil (which I havent used yet)

You're welcome! :D Always glad to speak to people with similar interests as me :). Aw don't lose motivation, flash can be kinda tricky (I've played around with it on my friends computer lol) but if anything that's why you should stay with it, to master it. I tried movie maker but I'd prefer a different program that I saw that came with this how to draw manga book, it was really cool when I read it haha. I tried pencil but I have to redownload cuz it got erased when my laptop got a virus but I really like it, it's actually not that bad. I haven't done too much with the animating part because it got deleted before I could try it but definitely gonna try it out.

That clip of yours is really cool regardless of missing frames. I definitely suggest you continue with this. If anything you could become an animator for a video game company, now how cool would that be? lol. And thanks glad you think it would a really cool thing for an animation. :D
