This first post will explain some important to-know information that everyone should be aware of upon entering the site. The second post will contain links to useful threads to read for new users.
Don't post your introduction here. If you want to say, "Hello!" or, "I'm new; this is cool!" then it goes in the
Introductions board. If you want to see who is in your area, it goes in the
Countries board.
Use the View All Threads button on the right side of the webpage near the top [in any board]. It opens up an archive that holds all the previous threads. We do not allow duplicates, so make sure a thread hasn't been made before first.
[pressing ctrl+f on your keyboard opens your browsers 'find' function, use this to search for key words.]
Do not post personal information! This is an anonymous website; it's not safe to post any sort of personal information here as we can't moderate who views it. Never post someone else's name, address, number, FB link, etc. without their permission, even if it is to help them.
The chat websites are not ours. We just link to another website's chat; we can't help you if someone is spamming or if there is any other issue with it. Chances are, the people you've met in chat don't even visit this Dollars site. Please keep discussions about it off our site. If there is an issue, you can email the owner of the chat: support@drrr.com.
Please don't feed the trolls. If you see a member who is spamming or purposely picking fights, don't try to argue with them. Instead, email our admin (admin@dollars-bbs.org) and inform him of the situation. You'll only inspire them to spam worse otherwise.
Useful Threads
If a linked thread is closed, then check the most recent posts here; someone will have posted a link to the new one.
The Frequently Asked Questions Threads (FAQ) will answer all the questions you have about the site. Ask any questions you have after reading it there. The newest version is always bumped to the first page. It explains more than basic forum etiquette; it goes into explaining how to get a password for your username (tripcode), how to deal with different types of members, explains what is and isn't acceptable, etc. It's something that is very useful to read if you're not used to these types of anonymous sites, even if it is a little time consuming to read.
The IRC thread explains how to use our private BBS chat channel (#dollars-bbs@rizon.net). It is the only chat service which the website has control over.
The Status Updates Thread will keep you up to date with all your BBS friends. Let us know if you're going to be gone for a while there.

Other than that, be sure to lurk before posting ^o^ It's good practice to observe and figure out how a site works before commenting or making threads; give it at least a few days. Good luck!
