The opening and ending to AnoHana is two of my favorite songs. I could listen to "Aoi Shiori" by Galileo Galilei and "Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta mono~ (10 years after Ver.)" by Ai Kayano (and other seiyus from the anime's cast) forever! The animations are really well-made too and so pretty.

The opening for Baccano!, "Guns & Roses" by Paradise Lunch, and the opening for Cowboy Bebop, "Tank" by Seatbelts, is really awesome just to listen to. The animation for those two are cool too, specially the jazziness of the Cowboy Bebop one.

I've been listening to the second opening to Durarara "Complication" by Genderbent lately, and I definitely like it quite a bit. That said, I definitely think that my favorite opening theme has to be "Rise" by Origa from Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: 2nd gig. My second favorite is "Ichirin No Hana" by High and Mighty Color from Bleach, even though I don't consider myself to be a big fan of metal.

As far as ending themes go I'd have to say that my favorite is "Sen no Yoru wo Koete" by Aqua Timez from Bleach: Memories of No One, because the lyrics mean something to me on a personal level. "The Real Folk Blues" by the Seatbelts and from Cowboy Bebop comes in as a close second, though.

To be honest it's really hard for me to narrow my choices down, as I've found that I like to listen to songs from anime more than I do almost any other songs. I'd be interested to learn if the songs from anime are indicative of Japanese music as a whole, or if they're just some of the better songs/bands out there.

Connect from Madoka is a nice song, even though it spoils the entire story if you analyze the lyrics.

I really like Welcome to the NHK's Puzzle, due to its relaxing tone.It doesn't really sound like typical J-Pop, nor does it come off as some cheesy generic "calming" song.

I haven't watched a lot of animes, but I think it's Choir Jail (Tasogare Otome x Amnesia), Crossing Field (Sword Art Online). I liked Cagayake Girls (K-on) and I'll never get tired of it and maybe Hishoku no Sora and LIght my Fire (Shakugan no Shana) and My soul, Your Beats.
Though I wouldn't know much, I'm just saying what I like so far...

Magi's 1st OP, VIP by SID, takes the cake for one of my favorite OP's though. That fucking feel, and the way it kickstarts the song with those vocals and DAT VIOLIN RIFF MMFFF at the beginning is crazy.

The Bravery, Magi's 2nd ED is also great. Unfortunately, I can't find a decent video of it on youtube that isn't a cover or pitch-shifted. Supercell is just great all-around, you don't need proof of that.

Unravel is really good too. Tokyo Ghoul had a pretty bad anime adaptation (Shame, since the manga was incredible), but the music was awesome for the most part.

Yeah, the manga was really damn good, but the anime was nearly insufferable. Nothing was as bad as Guilty Crown though. Ugh. It was bad. Really bad. It has is own classification of bad, called 'Guilty' because anime that bad is guilty of existing.

Unravel is AMAAAAAZIIING... Great song, and great band, as is Death Parade's. I like Drrr's themes, too.

Again by YUI from FMA:Brotherhood has always been a personal favorite of mine.

There's so many anime opening themes i like it's hard for me to choose lol: like many people have said Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul is amazing, TANK! from Bebop, and I really love Durarara's 2nd opening - Complication. If i had to choose one I'd pick Cruel Angels Thesis from Evangelion just cause it's so iconic lol.

But my definite favorite and the best anime ending theme is Shiki no Uta from Samurai Champloo. The nostalgia and nujabes is just so soul-soothing.

I have just finished Zankyou no terror and I'm in love with its opening "Trigger"
Not anyone can enjoy it, but it's really nice and it has kind of nostalgic feel to it.

Be far Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul. I know every word in English and Japanese.

Never forget the Kekkai Sensen Ending.

Also the soundtracks of Noragami and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun are nice. The endings of Un-Go were very chilly and for some kind of reasons, I really like the first opening and ending of Owari no Seraph even though it's not even that good. Basically everything by Sawano Hiroyuki is gold to my ears. Durarara!!'s good ol' jazz is incomparable of course. And gosh do I love the ending of No.6 by Aimer. I don't even know anymore how the song is called I just know that it sounds really pretty.

I don't know why but i love the "tonight tonight tonight" opening theme from part of the bount arc of bleach.

Konosuba ending (Chiisana boukensha).
It's light, pretty and easy to sing. It is also the only japanese song I managed to convince my music teacher to let us learn in class back when I was in school (Becouse it sounds good and has a simple rhythm)
