A lot had told me that Goku is the ultimate protagonist in the anime industries. And that no one can defeat him. There must be someone who's stronger, right?

well i mean since young Goku has been embedded into my mind as an insanely strong character, and he really is. I mean, look at all the powerful people he's destroyed, and he still keeps growing (especially now that a new season's coming out). Maybe there are others in the future, but as of now imo Goku is boss.

Considering recent chapters, Natsu might be able to hold his own against Goku, but I'm not sure who would win… Sinbad or Kouen from MAGI might be able too also, but I would have to reread everything to get a better idea. ^_^;

Saitama aka one punch man. It sucks the fun out of the game, but he's a gag manga based on his ridiculous power. Nothing special and he's actually kind of dull and dense. Is physical ability on the other hand is off the charts. Longest fight he had so far it took him 3 to 4 moves to kill the dude.

It was the kind of monster that's enough to destroy the entire galaxy. He removed the limiter in 1 punch and killed him 3 punch later and didn't even broke a sweat.

OMG no Natsu will instantly die if Goku just gave him a slap on the back. But if anything i think Natsu and Goku would get along really well with each other since their both goofy and serious when it comes to their friends

What about the Silver King from K? He may not pack as much of a punch as some other anime characters, but he's still got some incredible powers and he's immortal, not even tearing him apart atom by atom can kill him, he always comes back.

I think Issei from Highschool DxD could probably defeat Goku because under a certain amount of time Issei can have the strength of a god or even God himself. But one thing is for certain no one can defeat him from all of that oppai groping. :)

I think Haruhi is the strongest character there is.

There are theories that Kyon is god, and those do have some backing. However, Haruhi(or Kyon?:P) isn't strong, she is omnipotent. She actually knows about her powers in some way, since she told Kyon that she wanted to try a new world with the two of them remaining, fecreating the rest of the world. Nonetheless, Haruhi would never fight unless she wants to, so calling her the strongest is kinda weird. (I totally agree though :D)

Well, let's see: Alucard (Hellsing) and Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade in her glory(Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari) are the immortals for being candidates. But, IMO, Alucard is, practically, ghost-like, untouchable. But I wouldn't bet for a fight Goku vs Alucard

As I stated before I think Eucliwood Hellscythe from Is this a zombie? is the most op, any thing she says will happen (Including death).
But I think the second most op character would be Izayoi Sakamaki, his power is to take away ALL other powers. This includes taking away immortality and anything else you can imagine. And besides that he is extremely strong without it (He killed an immortal dude... immortal.. .killed... I cant think of anyone more powerful than these two)

oh yes Korosensei in the anime assassination classroom is more powerful than goku and all characters in dragonball !

People, as you can see, there are many characters that are OP, and are practically god. But look at it from another angle, from the perspectives of their powers and under what conditions they work. If you do this, someone is always bound to be defeated by another, and that person defeated by another.
Personally, Medaka from Medaka's Box, I mean, she can learn ANY ability, I don't think it is possible to beat that.

Someone needs to make a "Death Battle" type show for anime characters, that would be amazing.

But yeah, there's also Homura from Madoka Magica, I mean she was able to trick and steal the power of GOD basically and essentially became the devil, even letting Madoka keep her power and still be confident that everything would go her way.
