I wanted to ask you all what anime you personally dislike, but for some reason everybody else just seems to love, or vice-versa. I figured your answers would be interesting to see. So please,try to explain your answer as best you can.

Sword Art Online.

It's just...I really, really expected something epic from SAO. But, it just wasn't there. They could've made something AWESOME, like Attack on Titan, but the whole harem and romance shit kinda ruined it. And the story wasn't all that great. I also didn't really think Kirito was all that great. All I can really say I liked was the action and visuals, other than that, bleh.

It's just another overrated series to me.

I never liked it, even as a kid.
Don't like the story, nor the characters.

Personally I really do not like, as Naoto Stone said, Dragon Ball Z. I never really liked it. It just seem cheesy and I just never saw a point to watch it.

One piece. Too silly and child looking with the characters. Luphy was kinda annoying to me. Love zoro and sanji, but they're the only two I liked out of the series.

Sword Art Online - Sooo, i LIKED the art and I LIKED the story but the fact that the whole anime was ruined with these "I love you, let's live together..." I liked the whole anime until the (i think) 10-14 episode. Then the "Alfheim Online" thing with it's "Fairies" just punched me in the face and i felt like I'm watching a Disney cartoon. It became a little bit childish for me. And i was expecting too much from this anime.

Bleach and Naruto are neutral for me. I don't hate them, but in the other hand i don't really like them either.

School Rumble and Excel Saga! Those are awesome animes but they get so much hate!!!

I'll be honest; Shingeki no Kyoujin.
I admit, the animation is pure gold but the genre is not really what I watch. I don't exactly hate it, I just dislike it.

Fairy Tail and Hetallia. I just couldnt get into them. . .

Naruto and you won't believe this.... Shingeki No Kyoujin.... It is boring... For some reason. I was anxious about the new Aku No Hana episode and I was bored to death to watch Shingeki...

Vampire Knight...
Believe me I tried, I really did try to like this anime but I couldn't even get past Episode 3...the plot-line was just too slow, cliché and boring for me to really get into it, the characters were terrible, from being too egoistical to be even remotely realistic (It worked for Prussia in Hetalia because he used it in a way to make the audience LAUGH) to being just abusive... the animation was fine I guess, not really anything above average though, but I just couldn't bring myself to like this anime.

Dragon Ball Z.
I don't see why people like it so much. After the Frieza arc, the entire plot is just "Hey some other Fucktard is going to destroy the planet." Also, Goku becomes the only useful character. I mean, there's making the main character strong and then there's making the other characters useless. Don't get me wrong, I loved Dragon Ball. It had meaningful supporting characters and a good plot. But I hat Dragon Ball Z.

I think that one of the reasons I seem to hate about 60% or more of anime/s (Holy shit what's the correct plural) is because their fans are so obnoxious. I guess that kind of deters me from starting to watch them because I've seen so many generally shitty fans and would prefer not to be lumped in.
(Though admittedly I quite liked Hetalia, despite some of the absolutely terrifying fans)

Why?...well first off no one in the anime actually has a name. They all go by there own "distinctive" labels...so you would conventionally expect the young boy with a brave heart, armed with sword and shield to be called "Hero". Yep well actually thats his name. One more thing is that the anime lacked an antagonist...rather, you feel anyone may suddenly jump up for the role, even the hero himself due to how inconsistent the anime can be. :\

Every mainstream anime that has over a 100 episodes. They all drag on for WAY too long and get boring so I literally gave up on all shows like that. Thanks Naruto/Bleach/One Piece for all of those great but regretful memories.

I don't necessarily hate it, but Wolfs Rain. I just never really got too invested into the story and the ending just didn't satisfy my needs as a viewer. I was just sort of disappointed because of all the positive feedback I heard about it.

I hate manga that puts unnecessary ecchi. Fairy Tail in the beginning was very good, but now in some parts I don't support more, what was that competition of showing off bikinis? It's a shonen manga, I want fight!

I honestly dislike any of the big three. I feel they're all overrated and way too long. With that being said, I can handle Bleach for the most part, but I feel like it's just been running way too long for things to make much sense anymore. One Piece's art style just aggravates me, for whatever reason. The Naruto manga is great, but the anime is too childish to hold my interest.

Although I don't ever hate animes, I just can't get into a few of them. Clannad, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan. I watched the first episode of Attack on Titan and the main character seemed a bit too irritable. Clannad seemed kind of boring, and Fairy Tail was kind of repetitive.

I really loved SAO, but all the love story messed everything up, I mean, seriously? Suguha love Kirito just because he's not her brother?
Also, the first season was genuistic! Why? Because Kirito's goal was to save 10,000 human being that were stuck in that game. The second season? Saving a single person from a pervert. Its ok, the season two is ok, but I think the anime would've be just fine with the season one.

The SAO Light Novel series has enough volumes to have at least 4 or so seasons more. If you think they should have stopped at the end of Season 1 (Volume 1 going onto the start of 3) then you're basically saying you would be alright with the story ending with Asuna still in a coma.

Okay, well everyone loves it but... I find it boring. The main action is pretty much lengthy dialogue, and, although the action is excellent, without some sort of cool powers it's sort of boring after awhile. Now, I get that this should be a humane sort of anime, but if that's so, why is Eren so good, Armin so smart, Mikasa so strong, and everyone completely STATIC personality wise? (Excluding Mikasa in her childhood)

Inori's clothing was too slutty for her character, Shoe/Shu was pathetic in general, and to be honest, I didn't like the art although everyone seems to praise it. Hard cg just doesn't work for me. I liked the OST, but supercell's OP/ED/insert songs were just..lacking.

The first half was decent, ignoring the fact that Asuna, my favourite character in the series for how badass she was, by the end, was already useless without Kirito. The second half was just total shit. Asuna was entirely taken out of the picture and Kirito just gained another girl into his harem.

I used to be a big fan of it especially the concept of the VRMMORPG and being trapped in and having to beat the game and the die-in-real-life thing and whatnot. Kill la Kill. I don't like the characters, the plot, the fact that there's a lot of almost-naked women...The whole anime.

I also don't really like Kyoukai no Kyanata, i don't especially know why. Maybe because i can't stand Kuriyama Mirai.

And Shingeki no Kyojin. I don't hate it but i just can't watch more than 30minutes of the first episode. Idk, maybe it's too sad for me, not my kind of anime and story. But the characters seem interesting.

I don't have "hate" for any shows but there are some I have mixed opinions of.
One Piece in particular frustrates me a lot in that it's formula is very repetitive. It's always recycling it's plots for individual arcs and is filled with too many gags to be taken seriously.
Fairy Tail is another that I'm unsure of. I mean I liked the first arcs but couldn't get farther into it and I have mixed feelings on the fan service in how overt it is.
Weirdly from both One Piece and Fairy Tail my favorite characters are Zoro and Erza.

for some reason i always hear about it and people always talking about the show.usually at anime conventions there would be heaps of merchandise selling for K-ON.
apparently it was a type of comedy anime but it didnt really make me laugh.the storyline was also quite draggy and some parts were unnecessary.
i think the only time i got really ticked off when the main character starting being really annoying and childish in the anime.i usually dont get all annoyed when a character in a show gets all chilish but this ticked me off real bad..sigh.

Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Afro Samurai, Fairy Tale, and Inuyasha are what some would consider, "Anime meant for american's." Because of this,not many people who are deeply into Anime tend to like them. And also the fact that people are always saying, Naruto this, Naruto that, people tend to want to go against the trend so they never read it. People over exaggerate them and it makes people inadvertantly hate that. That was my case at least.

Can I just say that I've never liked the designs for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex? It's really hard for me to want to watch that show, even though the plot and overall writing are still well above average.

Sword Art Online.

I have a similar opinion of it as some of you, such as the art being well done. Although I haven't read it yet, the light novel seems to be much better. The anime adaption had viewers think everything happened too soon. In the light novel, the events actually had time and didn't have time lapses and gaps that went unnoticed at the bottom of the scene when it actually decides to appear. Even characters were taken out and side characters put in. .-. Overall, the anime itself was horribly done. The light novel is probably much more clear without all the gaps or rushed storyline.

As for One Piece, I'm not very fond of the art...

For Death Note, I just didn't like the ending. Everything else alright, I guess.

I found baka and test to be really bad. It really just wasn't that good and the plot line it's self was kind of uninteresting. On top of it I found the animation style kind of lacking

One piece, Bleach, and Naruto!!!! I don't understand why these are so popular while there are many faults, and so many amazing animes are unpopular.

Dragonball Z, the story just didn't interest me enough to watch more than a few episodes.

Attack on Titan - don't hate it buck I just can't get into it. Everyone I know who watches anime seems to love the crap out of it though.

Fruits Basket - Tohru was really annoying to me, and while I found the idea of the Zodiac curse really neat, the whole plot was just too cliche and bland to me. Sometimes cliches can be good, but not this time.

Vampire Knight - I read some of the manga but couldn't get into it - especially since I heard one of the main character pairings turns out to be incest? Which is a major no for me.

later chapters/seasons of Bleach - I liked the first few seasons but after a while I couldn't enjoy it anymore.

I liked Naruto and early parts of Shippuden, but not long after the Rescue Gaara arc it went downhill fast.

Axis Powers Hetalia I found particularly annoying.

I read some of Soul Eater, but couldn't get into it. Tried the anime anyway, but it was the same.

I kind of liked early Inuyasha but Kagome, Kykio, and Inuyasha all quickly became way too annoying. I liked some of the other characters though, mostly Sango, Miroku, and Shippo, and Sesshomaru and Rin.

I loved the Loveless manga, but hated how the anime ended.
Also really liked Death Note and Ouran High School Host Club mangas, but didn't like the anime even though there were very few differences.

Pokemon - I don't have anything against the new stuff, really, but what made me love the original was the characters and how they interacted - especially Misty. It's just too different now for me. Same with Digimon.

Sword Art Online - Wonderful art and animation but the creators butchered a great idea with a horrible story and poorly made characters. It definitely didn't deserve its second season.

Evangelion - I get that it really does have something to say about human character. I can be impartial to it and say that the characters did explore that theme a little bit but I really couldn't stand how annoying and two-dimensional they all were.

Bleach - The show was pretty decent. The Soul Society Arc was pretty good but it definitely went downhill near the end of the Arrancar Arc.

Attack on Titan: I don't actually hate this one. It's ok in my eyes but nothing worth getting hyped for.

Madoka Magica: I don't hate this one either, I actually respect it. I find it great that Urobuchi was able to put so much character development in just 12 episodes while giving a wonderful plot and a spin on the magical girl genre, something I actually hate. I understand why people would love it so much but to be quite honest I really don't. I admire it for what it has done but it's not enough for me to like it sadly. I really only like it for Homura :P

Dragon Ball Z was really bad. I didnt like the plot, characters, animation...not for me

I'm glad that I don't feel like the only one that doesn't like SAO. I mean the arts really pretty to look at and the original concepts pretty cool, but it's just really boring. And the second story arc (the fairies one) was just terrible.
Also Lucky Star- I just don't find it amusing.

This isn't me personally, but one of my best friends LOATHES Attack on Titan. He doesn't give me any other reasons other than, "It's so bad" though.

I personally like this anime, but hey, everyone has their own opinions.

Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online. I don't hate them per say, but it seems like when became the top tier anime for a while, they kept getting shoved into my face.
Perhaps I dislike their fan base more then the animes them selves

for me, it was the anime adaptation of sword art i guess?
i mean the whole "darkness" of the light novel just vanished and the whole setting was portrayed as wonderful despite the characters' emotions plummeting due to the fact that its a death game.
another thing is that they made the whole series look childish...

I really dislike Bleach. It seems as though every person that likes anime happens to adore Bleach, and think I'm an odd one. I don't really know why I dislike it, so I don't have much of an explanation. It's just not my style I suppose.

I am really disappointed in SAO. It's just so overrated and totally poorly written. The main character is so two dimensional and his personality swings more than a grandfather clock.

I have a bad habit of disliking really long anime (such as Bleach, Naruto, One Piece) no matter how popular or "good" they are because there's usually a ton of filler.

I really can't get into Dangan Ronpa or Kill la Kill, though. Not sure why.

I also can't get myself to finish Kill la Kill. I was super hyped to watch it because everyone has been freaking out about it. But I just couldn't get into it.

For some reason I could never get into Clannad. I tried watching it, and even though I didn't exactly dislike it, I thought it was boring and ended up dropping it. I didn't care for the art that much either.

Fairy Tail...Well, I have mixed opinions about it. I think the show's alright, and I wouldn't mind watching it, but I just can't seem to get into it.

Evangelion...Oh god, the art. I didn't even get through the first five to ten minutes after the opening before I just stopped watching.

I can't seem to be able to get into Deadman Wonderland either, though that's likely because I'm generally not very comfortable with the genre. I think I got to the second episode though...? And I've never been interested in Dragon Ball or Detective Conan.

Don't get me wrong: it looks like an awesome anime and I made it to around 15 episodes, however the setting and how many episodes each arc takes is just off-putting for me. I personally don't like the more apocalyptic/entire human race is about to die-type anime so I never 'got into' the story, or really enjoyed watching the characters.

I liked Sword Art Online (season 1) but just for the setting and battles. All the rest was pretty bad, especially when season 2 came around.

SAO i may not be a fan of harem or romance but sometime i like romance or harem with an actual GOOD plot(not the chest area)so many people like this anime and i dont really now why my opinion it's not the best anime out there and i really thin they are just girls looking for attention sorry people who love this

Black Butler. I have a lot of friends that adore it but... I don't exactly hate it but it kinda drives nuts. They all obsess over it and I can't even make it all the way through. And not for lack of trying. I've watched a little over half of the first season and I can't stand to watch anymore than that.

All my friends love Sword Art Online and they keep saying that it's the most amazing anime, but I just thought it was okay.
The first half was good, but the second half involving ALfheim online was just so terrible that it just let down the whole anime for me.

Honestly overhyped. People on Tumblr defend the messages it has to say and the fact that there are strong female characters but really that's only what it's got going for it. The story is hardly engaging, it's a boatload of fanservice, and the so called "messages" aren't really stuff you'd call thought-provoking or deep unless you were born with less than half a brain.

Lucky Star, One Piece ,Naruto. Most animes with little or no plot. ALL animes with too much fillers.

Bleach, One piece and SAO. These just didn't strike my fancy for some reason.

I really like Aidou Hanabusa (because his voice actor is my beloved Jun Fukuyama), Kiryuu Ichiru, Kiryuu Zero (because these two are voiced by Mamoru Miyano whom I like so much), Kain Akatsuki (because I like Junichi Suwabe's voice) and Shiki Senri. However, I SERIOUSLY HATE Yuki Cross/Kuran. She is so annoying. I hate the way she acts and stuff. She's always like "Kaname-senpai, Kaname-senpai". It's so annoying.

I don't like FLCL.
The first episode was like "What the f*ck?". I managed to finish the whole anime (because I really don't like not finishing what I've started). Then I told myself I won't re-watch it ever again. Not in this lifetime.

There's also Accel World.
I like the voice actor of the fat one but I don'y like the story. I just don't like it.

Then there's also Mirai Nikki.
I like it, actually. It's just that I somehow don't like Yuno. And the disappointing stuff is that Akise is gay. I liked Akise and he turned out to be gay (just when I thought I've found a character that I'd be attached with). The fact that he's gay ruined the whole story for me.

I don't like Date A Live.
I don't like the characters and the story sucks. No offense but it really sucks. The concept of making the girls fall in love with him so that the world will be saved is totally pure nonsense. It doesn't really make any sense (I'm a man of logic and reason so that's why).

Then there's Yuri stuff.
I don't like yuri not because I'm a girl. It just don't hit my type.

Neon Genesis Evangelion - I didn't like this show. It had loads of potential, and what it did well it did really well (primarily the mysteriousness of NERV), but the characters were irritating beyond belief and impossible to empathize with, and the unfortunately low budget didn't help. I feel that show could have been spectacularly good, but it isn't. If you actually judge what's in front of you, it sucks.

I think the characters were on-spot. These were kids after all which experienced horrible things. As a teen/adult watching it definitely is irritating, but I prefer this than the common unrealistic super-courageous or extremely-shy protagonist bull crap. We're entitled to our preferences though.

On-topic:

I hate SAO, it was utter crap, and people think it's amazing but really all that was good was the game idea (nervegear, game itself, etc.) and the animation.
FMA I think wasn't that great - the idea and story was amazing, but there were WAY too many plot holes and things left unexplained.
Bleach is another. It's your typical shounen. I liked the creativity with the shinigami and their world, etc, but the show really does suck.

I don't really get why my friends like it...I mean Clannad is not logical to me, if I become one of the character in Clannad I definitely act like, "why the hell are you guys crying!? You think crying could solve anything? Idiot".

As for K-ON...I think they're too hyperactive, loud, and cheesy girls...I definitely won't hang out with them if they're real...

Fairy Tail. My friends recommended it to me since I liked shounen like dragonball and One Piece and Naruto, and honestly, I actually enjoyed the series. Up til around 40 eps later. There was more romance in it... and it wasn't as fun and enjoyable, so I kinda lost interest. But it's not that I HATE the series, it's just I can't get into it anymore. Still ship Gratsu tho ^^

I liked the first arc (of the first season). It was damn cool, then things just got really weird. I did like the ending though. I've been thinking about starting up the second season, but I can't bring myself to do it.

The titan's themselves are an eyesore, I find them very ugly. They are most likely supposed to be, and so; I gave up. It was a very hyped up show, and fans kept telling me how incredible it is; that when I finally sat down to watch it, I was disappointed. It just didn't do it for me.

Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball and so on are all way too long. They look like good shows, and their popularity backs that, but when I can get the same amount of enjoyment from a 12 episode anime that I can get from an anime hundreds of episodes long, I'm going to watch the short one. And, I feel like I would get bored of watching the same anime for weeks and months on end, especially if I'm marathoning them like if I wanted to watch Naruto from the start. I heard that Bleach got highly repetitive after a while, and when an anime has only 12/13 episodes, you really haven't got the time to fit the story of the manga into the anime AND be repetitive, so it ensures you get the best anime for the time frame.

(If they stop making anime one day, and I have seen all the short ones, then I'll start watching the long ones in my retirement.)

Fairytail. Haven't seen much, but there seems to be a lack of a major story. I prefer a show, that has maybe a few seasons at most, with a clear, great story, and good ending. Fairytail has no immediate end, or major plot, each few episodes is a new mini story. I prefer quality, not quantity. Though the creators are making cash, so you can't reall blame them. Bleach, Naruto Shippuden,and One Piece had this problem too.

I like Hetalia too, but to be honest I enjoy the idea more than the actual anime or manga. The jokes can be really funny but war isn't taken very seriously at all and for me that's the most important aspect-how the personification of those countries deal with the devastation war brings. And that kind of thing.

As for me, I don't like naruto and bleach for a variety of reasons and I absolutely hate the original FMA anime series.

I know it get's a lot better in it's future-arc as I was told by a lot of friends who love it.
But I don't think just a good final arc cannot justify rating this piece of shit as one of the best anime (what they do).

I'm probably going to get attacked but I actually like Bleach...up to a point. I like fighting kinds of shows and swords so win-win. So much effort was put into the first major arc of the show (up to episode 63) that everything after that is, well, now what? I tried to watch some of it after that and I stopped caring.

I also enjoy .hack//sign even though none of my friends did. I really do enjoy older shonen shows like Saint Seiya and even Gatchaman and none of my friends like them specifically because they are "too old."

As for stuff that everyone else likes and I didn't: FLCL. I just. Don't. Get this.

Sword Art Online, mostly because the concept of VRMMORPG isn't bad but the anime itself went shit in my opinion when Asuna came in and made the anime into a romance thingy, which led Kirito to get away from his original goal.

SAO. I'm so sorry, but the actual idea and storyline isn't at all bad, but this anime can totally go without the romance. Let's just say that everything turned all cliché when Asuna entered the picture... I actually liked this anime before the Kirito and Asuna relationship turned dull...

I don't really have any dislike animes but if you asked, it will be High school of DXD and other chldish animes like Shugo Chara and JewelPet (sorry to all the fans there). I didnt like High school Of DXD because most of the scenes are ecchi instead of zombies and I personally do not like hentai so yeah.

I agree the romance side of SAO is pretty annoying, but is it so bad that you have to stop watching it? For me, the sci fi and action keeps me going! I want to see where the technology goes next in S3 ^-^
