Sorry if the summery was bad i was patronizing but here's a better one.
Sumimura Yoshimori, 14-year-old Boy fights against ayakashi at night at his school witch is on sacred grounds. Yoshimori Teams up with Tokine to fight the ayakashi using kekkai. kekkai allows them to trap the ayakashi in a cube-like figure and detroys them inside it. Yoshimori will protect Tokine at all cost because of his childhood tragiy.

yep me to.. The first 12 episode i thought kekkaishi was bad but i never gave up on anime and it got better later

If you liked Kekkaishi I strongly recommend reading the manga too, because the story just gets better and better. The anime covers roughly a third of the story, so there's a lot to look forward to.
Kekkaishi has a pretty weak start, but it does nothing but grow afterwards. I really loved that about it.

I really hope they decide to animate the rest of the manga; because they were pretty close, not much deviation between the two, which is rather rare (for example; Soul Eater and FMA).

In my opinion the show sucked. I do not know why, in truth I thought it would of ended up better than what it did. Powers just seemed meh compared to what could of been, characters not really any back story besides Gin, and plot lost me when anything serious came up.

I also love this show. Me and my boyfriend used to watch it befor he broke up with me. It is a reminder about all the good times we would stay up and watch it.

And the feeling that it just started getting awesome is pretty spot on, because it does. There are a lot of things introduced that don't really go anywhere in the anime, like the Urakai or the problem with Karasumori itself, so in the later parts of the story those really come into play.
Shamelessly advertising the manga. But you really can't not do that with Kekkaishi, if you've read it.
